Excursion tips: In Volterra (20 km), the capital of alabaster production, you can walk in the footsteps of the Etruscans: Be enchanted by the almost completely preserved Etruscan city walls and numerous remains, the piazza with the impressive Palazzo dei Priori, the characteristic alleys with typical restaurants and the Roman amphitheater! A little further away, the beautiful medieval town of San Gimignano (35 km) awaits you with its soaring 15 towers.
