This is the largest lake in Jæren with one of the largest sandy beaches in Norway, Orrestrand. There is very good fishing in the sea and in the river. The place is known for its distinct bird life and a large fish production, such as vendace and eel. Nature reserve. Visit the towns of Bryne and Sandnes, just a short drive from the cottage. This region has a flat landscape consisting of fields and fields separated by dry stone walls. The coastline is hot with surfers thanks to the high waves of the North Sea.
